National charity NSPCC offers support for vulnerable children in many forms. Of the information provided below some of the services are research projects and are not available for referal; please contact the NSPCC for more details.
Graded Care Profile (GCP) - GCP is an assessment tool for identifying potential and actual child neglect. Practitioners work closely with families in order to help identify specific issues of concern and strengths with regard to parenting.
Face to face (F2F) - F2F is a brief solution focused therapy for Looked After Children. The overall aim is to reduce risk taking behaviours for LAC and young people. Up to eight one to one sessions of direct work, lasting on average one hour can be offered.
Turn the Page (TTP) - The service for young people with Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) is based on current best practice. It aims to manage their behaviour and reduce the risk of repeat offences by addressing underlying factors.
Letting the Future In (LTFI) - The service is a therapeutic programme for children who have experienced sexual abuse and are with safe carers.
Parents Under Pressure (PUP) - The service is an intensive 20 week home based programme targeted at parents accessing a drug or alcohol treatment programme with a child under the age of 2 ½. The aim is to reduce Child Abuse Potential and improve parent- child interaction.
Family Environment: Drug Using Parent (FEDUP) - 12 week programme working with children who live with parental drug or alcohol misuse, to help build their self.
