Learning Disabilty Care Pathway
This pathway is able to help with difficulties such as; behaviour which is challenging, low mood and anxiety, feeding/dietary problems, sleep difficulties, skill development, autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), fears and phobias, concerns about development for children where there is a learning disability. The pathway will provide assessments and interventions in a variety of settings appropriate to the child and family e.g. family home, school, nursery, short break provision, clinic. This includes regular groups for parents and carers providing information, support and training to address behavioural management, social skills, parenting and ASD.
Individual and group specialist psychological, behavioural and community nursing service to children and young people age 0 - 18 with a physical and/or learning disability.
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
Children, young people and their families usually need to be referred to these services by a professional, such as a doctor or paediatrician.
